VEGETATION MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR

Mitchco Spraying Ltd. is an Industrial Vegetation Management company operating out of Lloydminster, Alberta. We are currently seeking a Vegetation Management Supervisor for the 2012 Season (March 1–Oct 31).  Start and finish dates are flexible.  Potential for full time employment for qualified individual.

Duties include

• Reporting to the General Manager, candidate will be responsible for supervising up to six spray crews and up to three mowing crews.
• Performing pre and post application inspections of industrial sites.
• Performing safety audits on crews in the field.
• Assisting in maintaining and repairing application and mowing equipment.
• Interacting with customers, land owners and the public.

Qualifications

• H2S, First-aid, TDG, and WHIMIS or willingness to obtain
• Current Alberta and/or Saskatchewan Pesticide Applicators Certificate or willingness to obtain
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends
• Vegetation Management experience or Agricultural background a definite asset
• Weed and forage identification abilities.
• Clean drivers abstract
• Ability to keep neat, precise records of all duties performed
• Light mechanical abilities.
• Must be a positive person willing to contribute to a team environment!

Our fast growing tree company based out of Airdrie, Alberta is looking for a Certified IVMAA Arborist or equivalent to fill a permanent full-time position within our company. 

The ideal candidate will have a Driver’s License in good standing, an Air Brake Ticket, reliable Transportation and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). ISA Certification would be an asset.
