The IVMAA is requesting proposals to fill the positions of Administrative Assistant and Business Manager with orientation beginning on February 1st, 2011 and March 1st, 2011 respectively. The IVMAA is a progressive association registered in the Province of Alberta, which sets policy and education standards for its 130 plus members. Members are governed by the Protocol Manual produced by the IVMAA re: “Industry Standards and Good Practices for Vegetation Management.” The Alberta Government recognizes the IVMAA as the sole licensor of all Utility Tree Workers and Trimmers in the Province. Courses for UTW and UTT applicants are scheduled yearly through Olds College. Spring Seminars and Tradeshows along with a Fall Workshop allows the membership to upgrade their education by completing Continuing Education Credits as required by Alberta Environment to keep their Pesticide Applicators Licenses current. The Administrative Assistant and Business Manager work closely together and with the IVMAA Board of Directors, to provide all administrative services required to run an efficient and progressive association. Proposals must explain how the applicant plans to make a smooth transition into these positions, what they expect the position will entail, the expected length of their contract, and remuneration expected.
